When and where will the annual meeting take place this year?
June 14th-15th, 2022 in Phoenix, AZ at the Grand Sheraton at Wild Horse Pass
Will there be a Senior Member and Fellow induction ceremony?
Yes, the Senior Member induction ceremony will take place Tuesday evening on June 14th, 2022, at the Grand Sheraton at Wild Horse Pass in Phoenix, AZ. We will honor the class from February 2022.
The Fellows Induction Ceremony will take place Wednesday, June 15th, 2022, at the Grand Sheraton at Wild Horse Pass in Phoenix, AZ. The U.S. Commissioner for Patents and President of NAI will induct Fellows Class of 2021.
Will the meeting be virtual or in-person?
The meeting will take place in-person.
The hotel and gala venue have safety measures in place to protect its guests. The NAI will also do its best to ensure a safe and secure environment for its members attending the meeting. There will be plenty of hand sanitizer, facemasks, and social distancing efforts in place.

What is the latest I can reserve my hotel room?
The group rate for NAI’s Annual Meeting is only available until May 13th, 2022. After this date, regular room rates will apply.
What is the dress code for the annual meeting?
The dress code for the conference is business casual. The Induction Ceremonies and Signature Gala are business and cocktail attire, so dust off those suits and dresses, as it will surely be a night to remember!
Can I bring my friends and family?
Absolutely! All guests can register for the events that they would like to attend here.
How can individuals and organizations deepen their involvement during the meeting or showcase their programs or organizations?
We would be thrilled to work with our forward-thinking partners to plan their event participation in the most meaningful way.

Are there any speaking opportunities?
Yes, we ask that you send us an abstract of the your proposed presentation. The theme this year is Defining the Future: Inventing for Tomorrow and ask that your abstract address any of the following topic areas:

What is NAI’s Policy on cancellations and payments?
At the time you register, your full payment will be processed. Some registrations may be subject to approval. You may cancel for any reason without penalty before May 6, 2022 . You will receive a full refund minus the service and processing fees.
NO refunds for any reason or cancellations starting May 7, 2022. Tickets can be transferred to another attendee in your place.
What if the 2022 conference in Phoenix is postponed due to Covid?
If the conference must be postponed due to health and/or travel concerns/restrictions, attendees will be allowed to apply the amount already paid towards the subsequent NAI Annual Meeting.
What is the latest I can cancel my hotel room?
As per the Grand Sheraton at Wild Horse Pass’s policy, hotel reservations can be canceled 7 days prior to the arrival date.
What if I cannot attend the 2022 Annual Meeting and have to cancel?

If I am no longer able to attend, can I transfer my ticket to a future meeting?
At this time, no. You will only have an opportunity for a full or partial refund depending on the date of your request per stated deadlines. You may transfer your ticket to someone else should you not be able to attend this year’s event, but you cannot use the ticket for a future event. Extenuating circumstances can be reviewed and determined by leadership, please contact us directly at events@nationalacademyofinventors.org.
Will I have to wear a mask during the conference?
NAI will adhere to the CDC guidelines at the time of the annual meeting as well as State and Local Mandates and the Grand Sheraton at Wild Horse Pass Policies.
Will I have to have a negative test prior to traveling?
NAI will adhere to the CDC Guidelines as well as Arizona State Guidelines at the time of the annual meeting based on travel restrictions regarding testing and vaccine requirements.
